Currently I simply cannot find any record of her death.  She might have re-married but I can’t find that.  Or she might have gone for a Domestic Arrangement and no records can be found of that.  She could have died before her husband.  The last record for her is in the 1911 census.  Possibly she could appear with him in the 1921 census (in six months’ time) or remotely she might be found in the 1939 census aged around 68.

In 1939 there is a Lizzie Jane Stockton born in January 1870 and married to an Alfie Stockton and both living at Checkley S O T, Cheadle,  Staffordshire.  There is no such Lizzie Jane Stockton to be found in the 1911 census, indicating that they got together after 1911.  There is no marriage of a Stockton with any Lizzie Jane. It is a possibility.  Just for amusement, there is no death to be found for a Lizzie Jane Stockton either!

Notes for William Henry & Lizzie Jane (Family)
Note that I found this marriage on FindMypast’s site, done with a rough search on her name.  The reason why I had so much trouble finding his marriage is that the vicar had written his name as Icclestone and FindMyPast had correctly transcribed this but not set up any equivalence between Eccleston and Icclestone.  Who says we should learn to spell?

I unknowingly transcribed it as Eccleston as that was the name, stupid.  Only a few days later did I find this problem when I tried to re-examine FindMyPast’s records.

FindMyPast have kindly provided the image of the parish register page, transcript by me:
