TFPL: I think I can remember meeting her once, during the war (1939-45), in a very gloomy house in Bournemouth. I would have been six or less at the time.
In the 1901 census she was living at The Rectory, Whitchurch, Oxfordshire with all her family save Arthur, she was aged 44 and born in Ham, Essex.
April 2004, TFPL: She was in fact born in Ham on 18th Sept 1856, named Mary Hodgson GILLETT, father William Stedman, mother Eliza Gillett late Grant formerly Coster.

She was living at 4 East Avenue, Bournemouth prior to her death at 70 Porchester Rd, Bournemouth.
Her executors for probate were son Arthur Malcolm Gillett Trotter, retired planter, and daughter Edith Mary Trotter, spinster. Her affairs were valued at £22,250-13-4. AMG Trotter, son, of 4 East Avenue, Bournemouth was the informant for her death.
