His short life was only discovered from the 1911 census where his mother was reported to have had 7 children of which 6 survived.
At birth, his mother was Mary Hodgson Trotter, formerly Gillett, his father was Henry Eden Trotter, a Clerk in Holy Orders, of The Vicarage, Northam, Southampton and he was the informant on the 18 April 1882.
He died aged 5 of Whooping cough, bronchities and congestion of lungs as certified by Thos G Emerson, MD. The informant at death was A E Stewart who was present at the death and of St John the Divine, 69 Drayton gardens, Kensington. His father, Henry Eden, was then vicar of Ardington.
