Her second name is known from her marriage record on FreeBMD, confirmed by her Times death notice.
There are three birth records on FreeDNB for Edith Margaret Gregory:
Q3 of 1859, Yeovil, vol 5c, p. 507
Q3 of 1862, Kensington, vol 1a, p. 92
Q1 if 1868, Hackney, vol 1b, p. 480
I could go for either of the first two.

Found, albeit with a wrongly transcribed age but with her father, in the 1871 census.
I can’t find her, or her father, in the LDS census of 1881.

In 1901 she was living at Marion House, Edgar Rd, Margate, Kent with her four children who were all borh in Monserrat, West Indies, plus one nurse (who was herself born in Monserrat - I wonder if she was black?). She was 38 and born in Kensington, London, almost certainly making her the seond of the above three candidate births.
