On 12 Oct 1929, The Times announced the forthcoming marriage of him and Edith Benedicta Mary (Mamie) Yeatman of 338 Kings Road, Chelsea, elder dau. of the late Mr & Mrs H. O. Yeatman of 43 Queens Gate Gardens, London SW. Curious that this was not included in the Burke LG entry of 1958, nor is it even mentioned in the 1937 edition; needs investigating a tad.
But The Times came up with an actual (quiet) marriage on 12 Sep 1960.
Francis Hamilton, the legatee of John Almeric, says he was completely unaware of any early marriage and presumed the thought of living in the Sudan together put one or the other off. Anyhow the main answer is that JA had no children, such that Francis and his son are the now only male Hamiltons of the de Courcy line in England.
In 1911 he was at a small school in Thanet, Kent.
