1977, 8 Feb Humphrey Pares was Director of Yeoman Nurseries Limited when that was wound up too.

The third of these is in the right year, county and birth year but has the forename of ‘Tony’. I wonder if this was a mis-registration for Humphrey?
It might be useful to obtain a copy of the death certificate for this Tony. And his birth certificate to see if that stacks out OK for the birth date. A tad expensive so I will see what time brings me.
The first bit of alternate information is his death date which the probate index gives as 11 July 2007. I have ordered the will to see what else it provides.
The will gives the names of his daughters, thereby confirming that it was the will of their father.

Nothing has been found so far for his occupation. In 1939 he was not at home so not included. It would be included on their marriage certificate. There is still a case for saving my money until I am sure it cannot be found by other means.
