On 20th December 1956 he, his wife and their two children boarded the IBERIA at London; he said he was a RAF Officer and that he expected to reside in Australia for at least 12 months and would be landing at Adelaide.
They gave their birth dates:

This information is of the quality of a census, this is why I am quoting it and include it in the documentary references.

Also available is the arrival muster when they reached Freemantle on the 13th January 1957.  The journey had taken them 24 days, three and a half weeks.

BP gives a third child Jane Margarethe born in 1957, almost certainly while they were in Australia.  The Australian do not publish birth records until 100 years after their birth, so it will be 2057 before we can see this.  Her age in years will be given on her marriage.
