Notes for George Kent (later Gosling)
It looks like he changed his name from Kent to Gosling, possibly around the time he left the army.

In fact he left the army in 1895 after a disastrous pair of deaths of their last two children.  It might be that tragedy that caused him to leave the army and change his name.

The next child was born at the beginning of 1897 with the surname of Gosling, perhaps significant of the hope (Goslings being the young of Geese) in the new born?

In the army he was a gunner smith.  Afterwards, from censuses and his children's births and baptisms, he was a blacksmith, then a driller in a foundry.  This shows a continuity of skill and suggests that the change of name was real and that there was not a change of husband through the death of George Kent.

After leaving the army, judging by the birth locations of their children, he and his family moved to and then stayed in Suffolk where he said in the censuses ha had been born.  Their children then migrated to or close to Ipswich, judging by the location of their Vital Events.  So did he, and Susan, follow them to Ipswich in their old age and did they both die there?

If so these two death index entries are candidates for his death:

Last name  First name(s)  Year Of Birth  Year Of Death  Year  Location
Gosling    George         1856           1932           1932  Woodbridge, Suffolk
Gosling    George         1854         1934           1934  Ipswich, Suffolk

But we cannot be sure which one might be him without getting a death certificate and even that might not be conclusive.

His gt-gt-granddaughter thinks it was in 1934.
