Remarkably a much fuller text of this was extracted before 1912, when his Wetherall book was published, at the command of Frederick Bradford McCrea and included in his book, pp. 8-10.  This is written in an indirect tense and is not the sort of words that I have ever seen used in a will.  So my conclusion is that this is an extract too, though with far more information than Betham’s ‘Genealogical Extract’.  So this does not give us the original text either.

I have put a copy of McCrea’s book elsewhere on my site.  Go to Home, select Original Documents and it is about half-way down that page of options.

Notes for John & Mary (Family)
The trancription of the marriage register is:

“1767  June 26  Jno Wetherell [sic] & Mary Hendrick, Prerogve Licece, by Andw Buck.”

This transcript is found as a series of scans on this website: <churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie>.  I am not clear what the name was of the book they were printed in.

I now also have scanned copies of this book, the Prerogative marriage licence bond and the entry in the parish marriage register.

I also have the entry for the marriage licenc bond for Mary Wolfe’s first marriage to Charles hendrick in 1758.
