No-one has discovered anything about John Wetherall’s first wife. Were they even married, I wonder?
Her last (known) son, John, was born in c. 1763 and there is no burial of a female Wetherall or weatherall or Witherall recorded on the available Irish records prior between 1763 and 1767 when he married his second wife, Mary Hendrick, née Wolfe.
As the years go by, more Irish burial records should become available and there is a hope that we might find somehting about her.
There is always the possibility that John was living and working in England prior to getting his Customs post and that she died in England. (We do not know where her sons Frederick and John were born; there are currently no available irish records for their baptisms.)
