Notes for Noel Hanbury
R P P-L: "Almost an R.C. & the most beloved uncle of the lot."

In the 1911 census, there were him and his wife and her son Dick in the house plus three servants.  I think she underrecorded her age at 42 as she was nearer 44.  He was a mere six years older than his stepson.

His parents were Sampson and Margaret J Hanbury, living in enormous style in 1891 in Devon with 13 living in servants.  In 1851 Sampson was a farmer of 380 acres in Cornwall; even then he had three living in servants.
