Abstract of the will of JOHN SLANY of Lulsly in the parish of Suckley co. Worcester
Dated 6 Sept 1694 Proved 7 Apr 1695
To my wife all my lands at Cradley co. Hereford and my house at Worcester called the Talbott during her life and £600 to be laid out on land according as my mother BONFOY will direct.
To my daughters MARY & ALICE £220 East India Stock but if they die before marriage, then it shall be equally divided amongst the rest of my children.
To my son JOHN SLANY and his heirs all my lands at Cradley in Herefordshire after my wife's decease, according to an indenture made 22 Dec 1689 to my mother Madam BONFOY in trust for the use of my wife and children.
To my sone Richard SLANY my house at Worcester called the Talbott after my wife's decease, he paying £50 each to my four daughters MARY, ALICE, ELIZABETH & SARAH, all unmarried.
To my sister MARY MICHELL £10 and to my sister MINSHALL a like sum
To my brother CHALRLES SLANY if he be now living £50 and to my brother BENJAMIN SLANY £50.
To my servants that are with me at my decease 20/-.
To the poor of Lulsly £1, to the poor of Cradly £2, the poor of Liegh £1 and to the poor of the parish that my house in Worcester stands £1.
To the poor box of the East India Company 30/-
The residue of my estate I give to be equally divided between my children.
I make my wife sole executrix.
Proved 7 Apr 1695 by ALICE SLANY relict and exex named in the will.
