Abstract of the Will of MARY SLANEY of London, widow
Dated 7 Apr 1684 Proved 2 May 1685.
I give to my daughter Mary Mitchell wife of Bernard Mitchell of London, Merchant £100 to purchase an annuity either in lands or houses for her life. If my said daughter happens to die before the said £100 be paid in purchasing the said annuity, then I give £50 thereof to her daughter MARY MITCHELL and in case of her decease before her said mother I give the same to my granddaughter MARTHA MITCHELL and in case of the decease of the said MARTHA MITCHELL before her mother then to any other daughter that my daughter said Mayr MITCHELL shall afterwards have and for want of such issues then to DOYLEE MICHELL, BARNARD MITCHELL and JOHN MITCHELL or any of them.
To my eldest sone RICHARD SLANY all my plate and jewels whatsoever
To my sons CHARLES SLANEY and BENJAMIN SLANEY £20 each.
The residue of my estate both at Eling London and elsewhere not before bequeather I give between my sons RICHARD SLANY, JOHN SLANY, said MARY SLANY, ELIZABETH MINSHULL wife of FRANCIS MINSHULL, CHARLES SLANEY and BENJAMIN SLANEY equally.
I appoint the said JOHN SLANY of Lulsley in the parish of Suckley co. Worcester, gent, sole executor.
Proved 2 May 1685 by John SLANY the executor named in the will.
Did she have a daughter Sarah, born 19 Nov 1664, Baptised 20 Nov, died 15th Dec and buried 17 Dec 1664?
