Notes for Eva La Zouche |
She and Maurice had five sons, Thomas Maurice, John, Eudo and Peter, and one daughter, Isabel, according to Smyth. But there is also the reported daughter "Eva or Millicent" who m. John Maltravers, the regicide of Ed II. I wonder if Smyth deliberately concealed her? Certainly he slipped up later by calling the son of John Maltravers, another John, the nephew of Maurice Berkeley (Vol I, p. 251). |
