The only death index found and this was not her but a lady who was born an Utting.:
Name: Year of Birth:
CAMPBELL, ELIZABETH JOAN 1919
GRO Reference: DOR Q2/2014 in OXFORDSHIRE (695-1F) Entry Number 510082261
From the probate index, there were these probates:
Probate
≈Surname First name Date of probate number Date of death Document type Registry
CAMPBELL ELIZABETH JOAN 27 Sept 2005 1943219 13 April 2003 Grant and will Oxford
CAMPBELL ELIZABETH JOAN 07 March 2016 4811845 12 Sept 2015 Grant and will Winchester
The second of these probates is the one I have already found not to be her and to be an Elizabeth Joan née Utting. A closer examination shows a significant difference between her date of death registration and the death date for probate.
And no probate entries for Elizabeth Joan from 1990 to 1996.
This leaves two possibilities for her death:
1. The above registration in Q2 of 2014, which has no will
2. The above probate in 2005 for a death in 2003, for which I can find no registration.
I’ll spend another thirty shillings on the 2005 probate.
The 2005 probate was for an Irish lady with a brother Michael, a sister Maureen and nieces Deidre Mullooly, nephews Mark and Adrian Campbell and with shares in properties in London, Dundee, Puerto Rico and Roscommon. No relation whatever!
Her death is more likely to be that in 2014 in Oxfordshire. A notice in The Times?

1. Her executor Jerome Peter McCormack

5. Her brother
