His birth is not found, nor can he be identified in the 1911 census.

The 1921 census might help.

His wife was a widow when she died in 1950.  So he must have died before then.  and there are two James F Whitehosue deathe before that, one in 1934 and the other in 1935.  Neither of these has any probate.

The 1921 census would give his age and enable us to decide whether he was the James F born in 1870 or the on born in 1885.  Or a tenner could be thrown at this conundrum to obtain his marriage certificate..

He died c. 1935, then.
