It looks like he was the only birth registered of any John A’C Bergne from 1900 to 1950 and his birth index is dated Q4 of 1902. He was in the 1911 census with his father Hervey, a retired shipping agent, late Consul for Italy and Attaché, and two younger brothers. He died in 1978 in Falmouth Cornwall, leaving a will. I have ordered the will to see what it says, if anything, of Dorothy Phyllis Bergne.
