There are several Paul Hemmings born within ten years before and after Virginia’s brith in 1951 but only two are Paul G Hemmings.  Further there is one Paul G Hemmings who was born in Eton which adjoins the Easthamptstead district of Virginia’s birth.  The only other Paul G Hemmings was born in Gloucester.  The nearest plain Paul Hemmings was born in Uxbridge.  I think there is a very strong chance that the local lad is the one that she married.  If so, his birth index would be:

Evidence is needed to confirm this, such as the age on his marriage certificate, his father’s name on the same.  Then his parents date and place of birth hopefully with an entry in the 1939 Register.  Then some Electoral Roll entries.  And when he dies his death certificate will have his birth date on it.
