Notes for George Sharp
There are too many George Sharps around to identify his birth and parents. Perhaps the 1921 census might help by providing his year and place of birth. He is not found with his wife in the 1939 Register; all the George Sharps on the Register in Suffolk are married and with their wives. In her entry in 1939 his wife did not say she was a widow and did say she was married, so he was alive. In 1939 he would have been around 40 and would not have been in the first wave of those called up, I think. Where was he?
In 1962 when his wife died, she was described as a widow. So he had died before that.
