Notes for Grace Harriet Pryor
I wonder if her birth was any of these from FreeBMD:
Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
Births Dec 1872 (>99%) Pryor Grace Poplar 1c 681
Births Sep 1880 (>99%) PRYOR Grace Helston 5c 192
Births Jun 1883 (>99%) PRYOR Grace Elizabeth Linton 3b 561
Births Dec 1889 (>99%) Pryor Grace Olivia Hackney 1b [35]9[5_]
Births Sep 1892 (>99%) Pryor Grace Mercy Islington 1b 404
Births Jun 1895 (>99%) Pryor Grace Helston 5c 176
Pryor Grace Annie W. Ham 4a 284
Her marriage certificate shows her to have been 31 in 1914 so born around 1882-3; but that date does not tie up with the birth names for those two years, though LInton is not far from Cambridge.
In the 1901 census there is Grace H Pryor aged 17 [looking good] of Cambridge and born in Cambridge [very good]. There is only one bare John Pryor in Cambridge in 1901 and he was 56, born in Cambridge and a Grocer’s Manager; doesn’t quite sound right, a bit old at the very least. Sounds like some spend is needed to get any more info on her parents.

Notes for Meyrick Archibald & Grace Harriet (Family)
At marriage, from the certificate, he was Meyrick Archibald Trotter, 31, a bachelor and a captain in 6th Battalion of the Norfolk Regiment, of 10 Grenville Place, London SW with his father being E.B.T, a solicitor. She was Grace Harriett Pryor, 31, a spinster o5 15b Malcolm Street, Cambridge and her father was John Pryor, a merchant.
The witnesses were John Pryor [her father], Katherine I Trotter [his mother] and Thomas Jackson [who also is a witness to his sister mary’s marriage, so a Trotter connection].
They were married by licence (giving perhaps a tad more information).
