Notes for Ida Winifred Winsborough
In the 1901 census she was a scholar at West London Schools, Ashford, nr Staines, Mx, aged 11 and birth place unknown.
She was not to be found in the 1891 census so I do not know who her parents were (yet).
Nor is her birth to be found in FreeBMD.
Currently I am wondering if she was born abroad.
In 1911 she was living in a 5 room house in Northumberland St, Marylebone, with one housekeeper full stop. She said she was born in Torquay and was of independent means.
Jun 2007, TFPL: Found her highly probable birth on FreeBMD:
Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
Births Jun 1891 (>99%)
Winsborough Ida Winifred Lambeth 1d 434

Apr 2008, TFPL: Her marriage certificate shows her father as William Winsbrough but then this was deleted; there is a note by the side to record the deletion but does not explain it. Sounds like that birth certificate will be needed.

In the 1911 census she was living with a housekeeper in a 5 roomed flat at 10 Albert Mansions, Northumberland St, London W. She was 20, of independent means and said she was 20, single and born in Torquay. However her birth record still clearly says Lambeth on FreeBMD.
