Notes for Anna Home
She is not listed as a dau. of Alexander Home in Scots Peerage, vol IV, p. 454.  However in the SP corrigenda, vol 9, p. 107 it says add “according to the genealogy of 1664, there were eight daughters in all”; on that basis, together with the account in “The House of Cockburn”, I am sticking with Anna as a daughter of Alexander Home.

TFPL, May 2006: However this has now been dowsed by the book “The Cockburn Family records” where it says:

“About 1480 William Cockburn married one Anne Home. whose connection with any of the numerous Border families of that name is difficult to trace.  Several genealogists have stated that she was a daughter of the Earl of Home; but the earldom was not created until 1604, and there is no proof that she was even a daughter of one of the first earl’s ancestors, the Barons Home.”

So I have removed her supposed parentage, even though it was endorsed by GEC in CB.
