In the Northern Genealogist of 1895, p. 123, there is the will of Nicholas Townley of Royle, Lancs, written on 8 Aor 1645. In it he left £5 to his nephew Bryan Ferrand and 40/- to his wife Jane F.
I presume this Bryan was a son of Thomas Ferrand and his wife Blanch Townley.
