In the 1664-5 Lancs visitation there is, Vol 3, p. 313, an Edmund Townley shown. His father was Robert, b.1596 and living 1664, his elder brother was Nicholas, b. 1624 living 1664. Nicholas signed the visitation. This Edmund married Hellen, dau of John Habergham of Habergham. Looks like he.
