Notes for Mary Shewan Brown
Too many Mary Morrisons died in 1847 on FreeBMD to identify anyone and she probably d. in Scotland anyway.

It seems from a grant of Scots arms by Lyon that one James George Morison of Touch House, Stirling was the son of a James Morison and his wife Mary Brown, dau. of John Brown, Merchant of Glasgow.  Matriculated 25th June 1857.  This needs following up.

Family Search confirms this and gives both the marriage date and the births of a few of their children.

TFPL, June 2021: It looks like her line expired completely in her grandchildren.

I wonder if the prefix of ‘Bailey’ indicates some title such as Bailiff?
