Arms: Argent, three saracen’s heads coped, two and one Sable, banded of the first within a Bordure ingrained Azure charged with three Fleurs de Lys, two in chief, one in base Or, for maternal difference.
Crest: Above the shield is placed a helmet befitting his degree, with a mantling gules dogbled argent and upon a wreath of his liveries is set for a Crest three saracens heads, conjoined on one neck erased proper
Mottoes: In an Escroll above the same [crest] this Motto “In Deo Confido” and in an Escroll below the shilled this Motto “Pretio Prudentia Praestat”.

James George Morison Esquire, residing at Touch House in the Co of Stirling, the only son of the late James Morison Esquire, sometime of Mosswood in the parish of ........... and County of Lanarks, by Mary Shewan his Wife, daughter of John Brown, Merchant in Glasgow, which James was third son of of James Morison, sometime of Dunbrae in the Parish of Logie and County of Fife, whose Eldest son, the late Major George Morison, sold that Estate and died unmarried. Henry second son and John Morison fourth and youngest son both died unmarried.
Bears Argent three Saracens heads couped two and one Sable, banded of the first, within a Bordure ingrailed Azure, charged with three Fleurds de lis, two in chief and one in base Or, for maternal difference. Above the Shield is placed a Helmet befitting his degree, with a Mantling Gules doubled argent, and upon a Wreath of his Liveries is set for Crest theree Saracens’ heads, conjoined on on neck erased proper, and in an Escroll above the same this Motto “IN DEO CONFIDO”, and in an Escroll below the Shield this Motto “PRETIO PRUDENTIA PRÆSTAT”.
These Arms are destined by Letters Patent from the Lord Lyon bearing even date with this Matriculation the Twenty fifth day of June 1857 to the said James George Morison Esquire, and his descendants with due and proper differences, according to the Laws of Arms, in all time coming the same being first Matriculated for them severally on this Public Register.
