No birth record on FreeBMD. I noted that his birth date was originally given as 1844 but his sister Gertrude was registered in Q4 of 1844, so it is unlikely he was born in that year as well. Anyhow I could find no suitable Horace or Horatio or Hor* born in any quarter from 1842 to the end of 1843. The only ‘Male Sketchley’ born in 1842-3 was born in Nuneaton in Q1 of 1842 which sounds a bit far away.
