Notes for Ellen Bromfield
In 1851 she was living next door to the Post Office, (Dunchurch?,) Rugby where William and Mary Sedgley had the post office. With the Sedgleys were some Worth children whom they called grandchildren. So who were the Sedgeleys?
The first guess is that Mrs Sedgeley was the grandmother and that she had re-married. But was she Jesse's or Ellen's mother?
Also in Dunchurch were a farmer and wife, William and Mary Bromfield of ages 60 and 68 respectively. Is it possible that these were Ellen Worth nee Bromfield's parents? Wm Bromfield at 60 is a bit young as Ellen was 41 in 1851. Anyhow if these are Ellen's parents then the postmaster's wife, Mary Sedgley, is Jesse's mother.
