26 March [1872]. The will with a Codicil of the Reverend Littleton Charles Powys late of Bradford Abbas in the County of Dorset Clerk who dies 11 February 1872 at Bradford Abbas was proved at the Principal Registry by Amelia Powys of Vradford Abbas Widow the Relict one of the Executors.

On a daimondshaped brass plaque:
“In loving memory of the Rev LITTLETON-CHARLES POWYS, son of the Revd LITTLETON and MARIA POWYS. Thirty years the Rector of the Parish of Stallbridge in the County of Dorset. He resigned his charge July 1st 1867 and died at Bradford Abbott Feby. 11th 1872 aged 81. “My trust is in the tender mercy of God for ever and ever.” Psalm LII. V9.”
