Notes for Mary Katherine Trotter
In the 1901 census she was living at 40a Connaught Street with her parents, aged 12 and born in Paddington, London.
In Q3 of 1918 a Mary K Trotter m. a James F Hay in Kensington; she would have been 29 then, a definite possible for marriage.
April 2008, TFPL: In 1930 she was mentioned explicitly in her father’s will under her married name so presumably was alive then. I have yet to find her death, not even looked for it, to be precise! But I will do it in a week or two for the Trotter Quartering Case.
Her death is not to be found in the death indexes under Hay for 1983 onwards, so a serious trawl through all the dreary pages for every quarter from 1930 onwards looks rather necessary. Or a less dreary trawl through the will indexes.
