Notes for Robert Trotter
He and Ann had issue for several generations but the male line expired completely on 31st May 1913 when their gt-grandson Alexander Edmund Coutts Trotter died. He left The Bush of Castlelaw and Dryden, both of Midlothian to his cousin Richard Durant Trotter; it is not clear yet whether or no Richard Durant was the heir male, but he was certainly a direct male descendant of the Trotters of Kettleshiel.
