Notes for Mary Elizabeth Priestley
In the book the Busfeild fragments, by her husband, he recorded that she was godmother to her grand-daughter Emily Mary, born in 1866.
But she was not to her grandson William born in 1873.
So she must have died between those dates and certainly not in 1856, as recorded by CGB.

April 2004, TFPL: I cannot believe that she was born in 1795 (Eh?????), 20 years before her husband, making her married at the age of 37 and then able to produce eight children.  More to investigate sometime.  The FreeBMD site has a Mary Elizabth Busfeild who d. in 1895 aged 81, with the death registered at Leyburn Vol 9d, page 425 - the birth date of 1814 makes sense and it is not a million miles away from her age of 68 in the 1881 census.

On her death certificate, which almost confirms FreeBMD, the informant was Thomas Sarquison, present at the death, of Middleham, Yorks.  She was aged 81 and the widow of John [sic] Atkinson Busfield [sic], landowner.

Notes for Johnson Atkinson & Mary Elizabeth (Family)
They also married a week later in Bradfield parish church, St Peter's, on 19th November 1832.  There is a very faint record in Bradford marriage registers, possibly No 409 of 1832, p. 160; this was by licence.

There is a memorial, to their four children who died as infants, in Bingley church; it is a window erected in 1873.  (Or was!)
