Notes for Captain Edward Hallifax Weller Poley LVO
His father was the heir to the the estates from Sir Thomas Hallifax, mayor of London.
R P P-L calls him "Hatton Weller-Poley", whereas Muriel Ferrand calls him "Ed Halifax Willer-Poley". (Death notice in The Times said he was known as ‘Hatton’.)
And in the 1881 census there is an Edward H Weller Poley, aged 1. I think this must be he.
His will showed an estate of £161,939.
