Burke’s LG for Scotland only records two births to Derek and Jean: Roderick James and Rosalind Eileen Margaret. I wonder if James is a twin to Roderick who d. young? Their index volumes are the same and one is on page 531 and the other on 531A. Alternatively they could be a changed entry for the one birth.
The Southampton births are clearly those of the marriage of Walter and Isabell.
But what about Emma’s birth in Maldon, Essex and where was Rosalind born? My guess is that ‘Emma R’ was later changed to ‘Rosalind’. The fact that she was born in Maldon is significant when one notes that her parents were married in Malden, probably where Jean’s parents lived.

His will is being ordered to see if it identifies his children clearly. Will delivered 7 Apr 2017
His will was dated 18 May 1962. His executors were his sister Cynthia Margaret Westwood and John Roy Wynter Bee, solicitor of Walker Martineau. But his sister was not involved in the probate, though power was reserved to her, so she was alive in 1986.
At the time of writing his will he was a Lt-Commander in the RN.
If she survived him, he left everything to his wife.
If she predeceased him then he left everything to his surviving children who reached the age of 21.
If no children of his reached the age of 21, then:
(a) he gave £500 each to his sister’s two children, Jennifer Margaret Wright and Jeremy Westwood and the remainder to his above sister.
(b) if his sister did not survive him, then equally to her surviving two children.

The lack of identification of any children is a pain and it means some investigation must be done into his wife’s death and will.
