The printed death index clearly shows her first name was Amyand. Obviously the transcriber was intoxicated as they called her Edward and then could not work out her sex. I have told FindMyPast they have it rather wrong.

There is a statement on an Ancestry Family Tree that she married a Fairbairn in Q1 of 1946. This has to be wrong for these reasons:
1. On 15th march 1952 she and her husband Herbert Grant Bevan departed England on the “Blomfontein” of the `Holland Africa Line for Rhodesia. He was 53 and retired, she was 51 and a housewife, both of Vorder, Bishopsteignton, S.Devon.
2. At death she was clearly still called Amyand M A Bevan.
3. In 1924 she had given birth to one Amyand mary Bevan and it was this daughter of hers that married the Fairbairn.

An ancestry family tree reports she had he had three daughters, but the only plausible records are for three daughters _and_ one son:

In 1939 two of her children are revealed and it is possible that the two redacted children - because they are thought to be still living - are hers as well. The birth date given for her is the same as for her birth and death registrations. They were at Verder Forder Lane, Bishopsteignton, Newton Abbot R.D., Devon:
