There is one marriage of a Bridget C Holmes in June 2003, when she was 36, in Epping Forest, Essex and to one Paul E Newbery. I would like a bit more detail to confirm that this marriage was hers. No birth can be found around 2003 of a Newbery with a mother’s maiden name of Holmes. But FindMyPast stopped recording births after 2006 and the GRO online search does not handle mother’s maiden names plus blank child forenames.
In his will, her uncle referred to his niece Bridget Paulson. And there is a marriage of a Brigdit Holmes to an Andrew G Paulson in Northumberland where her parents lived and in 1989. I think it is a winner with a bad attack of typo.

I would not have found this marriage without Bridget being included in the will of her uncle Robert Heneage Stopford where she was called Bridget Paulson.

I offered to FindMyPast the opportunity to change her marriage forename to something reasonable but they were not interested. Unfortunately these records never had a printed index sheet, or certainly not one thta we have been allowed to see.
