His last public record was the 1911 census where he was unemployed. The only references to him subsequently were first in 1939 when his wife said she was Married, in Yorks but with no husband on that Register and second in 1961 when his wife died and was reported to be a widow. So he died between 1939 and 1961, the middle of which is 1950 and there is a statement without evidence that he died in 1954. Who knows? The line of his first son has all died out; he is the one that m. a Brown descendant and they had one son who dsp., hence my interest. But William Boyd’s second son’s line continues and might know the answer.
