No birth found in England and Wales for any Elizabeth A Maclay. But she could have married before too and there is a 1956 marriage between a Walter S S Maclay and an Elizabeth A Cooper of which there are hundreds of instances. Her both marriage certificatess should give the same age and her father’s name. Her own death, when it occurs, would give her birth date. Sounds like it is solvable but at significant expense and probably she will not have had any children with Thomas so not worth it.
