He might have been the James W Harrington, born 1 Apr 1887, Chartered mechanical Engineer, married and living at what seems like lodgings at Manawate Farnborough Road, Farnborough, Hants in the 1939 Register. Marjorie Nora not to be found anywhere.

There are two James W Harrington deaths:
One in 1944 in WW2 but CWGC shows him to have been only 20 years old.
One in 1953, born in 1885 and died in Chester. Does not look like him either.
He might have gone abroad.
