Richard Lock of Bedminster, Somerset, who died 1617, the eldest son of Mathew Locke of Pensford, Somerset, who was apparently the son of Michael Locke younger brother of Sir William
Locke, sheriff of London 1548, see earlier.
It has been stated that the philiosopher John Lock was son of John (whose signature and
?C.18th arms right,- ‘Gents Mag’ vol 72, 1792), son of Christopher the younger brother of
Richard).
