No more children than Marjorie Mary can be seen for Sophy and Joseph Hogaerth.
In 1932 she was on a ship “Rio Bravo” from Southampton bound for Tampico, Mexico. She was 57, had been residing in Southampton at the South Western Hotel and was travelling first class to reside in Mexico, landing at Vera Cruz. Curiously there was a sole other first class passenger on this boat, a William Gordon Esson aged 51 who had previously been at the Haymarket Hotel SW1 and was also bound for vera Cruz.
In 1939 Sophia L and Joseph H Hogarth and 1 more person were on the 1939 Register and were living in Chelsea, London. She was stated to have been born in 1874.
In 1939 she was on a boat from Southampton to the USA with her husband.
From the British probate entry pf 1946 for her husband, she was then in Mexico where they had been living, possibly to be near her son Carlos?
In 1947 on 14th Oct, she was on the Mauretania, aged 72, from Southampton bound for New York. She came from 1 St James Sq, London SW1, said she was a housewife and was intending to reside in England in the future.
I have searched the Probate records from 1947, when she was last seen in English records, to 1978, three years after her possible 100th birthday and no Sophie Louise can be found.
She is not found on any death index in the British Isles.
She might have died in Mexico.
