Paul Willoughby has transcribed his will to give (and he has also provided a copy of the original) this hard evidence of his paternity of Susan Dawson:

THE WILL OF LEONARD LEWEN WHEATLEY

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
of me Leonard Lewen Wheatley of number 12 Nottingham Place, Marylebone in the county of Middlesex.  Esquire I give and devise unto Elizabeth Mary Dawson now cosiding with me all my freehold messuages or tenements cottages lands and hereditaments situate and being in the parish of Ash next Sandwich in the county of kent and also all that the Manor and Lordship of Wingham Barton in the said county of kent to hold the same unto the said Elizabeth Mary Dawson and her assigns during the term of her natural life without impeachment of waste and from and after the decease if the said Elizabeth Mary Dawson I give and devise the same unto Sarah Susannah Dawson my natural or reputed daughter now cosiding with me to hold the same unto the said Sarah Susannah Dawson and her assigns during the term of her natural life without impeachment of waste and from and after the decease of the said Sarah Susannah Dawson I give and devise the same unto the first son of the said Sarah Susannah Dawson in fee simple and if such first son of the said Sarah Susannah Dawson shall be under the age of twenty one years to the second and every subsequent son of the said Sarah Susannah Dawson xxxxxxxx xxxxxx to xxxxxxx in fee simple so that the estate of xxxx xxxx xxxx or subsequent son shall in the event of this xxxxx under the age of twenty one years without leaving xxxxx living at this xxxxxx be xxxxx and go over to this next brother.  But if there shall be no son of the said Sarah Susannah Dawson or none who shall attain the age of twenty one years or be under that age and leave xxxx living at this xxxx then to the first daughter of the said Sarah Dawson in fee simple and if xxx first daughter of the said Sarah Susannah Dawson shall be under the age of twenty one years to the xxxxx and every subsequent daughter of the said Sarah Susannah Dawson xxxxxxxxxx xxxxx to xxxxx in fee simple so that the estate of xxxx xxxx xxxxx or subsequent daughter shall in the event of her death under the age of twenty one years without leaving xxxx living at her death be xxxxx and go over to her next sister but if there shall be no daughter of the said Sarah Susannah Dawson or none who shall attain the age of twenty one years or be under that age and leave xxxx living at her death then I give and devise that the same unto xxxx persons or person for xxxx estates or estate interests or interest and in sum manner mail xxxxx as the said Sarah Susannah Dawson shall notwithxxxxxx xxxx xxxxx by will appoint and in default of xxxx appointment and so as the same shall not extend I give and devise the same unto my own eight xxxx absolutely in fee simple I give and devise all the xxxxx of my lands tenements and xxxxx to whether freehold or leasehold or whether of xxxxxx or xxxx unto the said Sarah Susannah Dawson and her assigns during the term of her natural life without unpearment of waste with xxxxx to her sons and daughters xxxxxx xxxxxxx with the xxxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxx to them respectively with xxxxxxx subject to xxxx power of appointment  as I have xxxxxxx given to the said Sarah Susannah Dawson with remainder to my own xxxx xxxx in fee simple absolutely and I hereby xxxxx that it shall be lawful for every person for the time being entitled in xxxxx as beneficial tenant for life or as tenant instail under the limitations herein before xxxxxx to appoint by way of lease my said xxxxxxxxxx or any of them for any term of years not exceeding twenty one in possession from the making of the lease so as the best yearly xxxx payable half yearly or quarterly be xxxxx and no fine or xxxxx be taken and so as the lease xxxxx xxxx for payment of the rent and taxes for repairing and keeping in repair the premises xxxxxx and if the lease comprises any buildings for xxxxxxx the same against xxxxx by fire to the extent of two things of the value thereof with sum other covenants as the xxxx shall xxxxxx xxxxx able and also a proviso for xxxxx on nonpayment of the rent for a period not exceeding forty days after the same shall xxxx one or on xxxxx of any of the covenants and so as the xxxx xxxxx a counterpart xxxxx I give and bequeath the following xxxxx to the said Elizabeth Mary Dawson the sum of ten thousand pounds to the said Sarah Susannah Dawson the sum of four thousand pounds to Eliza Dawson the daughter of the said Elizabeth Dawson and now cosiding with me the sum of four thousand pounds and I xxxxx the said several xxxxxx to be paid free of xxxxxx and I xxxxx that the sum xxxxx duty payable on the xxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx on my decease be paid out of my personal estate and I give and bequeath unto the said Elizabeth Mary Dawson the use of my plate during her life and after her decease I give and bequeath the same unto the said Sarah Susannah Dawson absolutely and I give devise and bequeath all the rest xxxxx and remainder of my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto the said Elizabeth Mary Dawson her heirs executors administrators and assigns and hereby nominate and appoint the said Elizabeth Mary Dawson sole executrix of this my last will and testament in xxxx where of I have xxxxxx to set my days this twentieth day of October one
