There is no record to be found of his birth or baptism. I do not know where the Dover birth date comes from, possibly Burke. Sounds like it needs deleting.
His wife is given as ‘Affra’ at Harriet’s christening. Affra is the daughter of Phineas Stringer and Affra Rouse and thus first cousin to her husband (not true: not first cousin, due to a misconception of 2008, rectified in 2016).
He was explicitly referred to in his father-in-law’s will.
