Her parents were William Carden Roe, medical doctor, and Emily Louisa née Layard._________________

Roe, Emily, Apr-Jun 1875, Prestwich district, vol 8d, p. 340
Roe, Emily, Jul-Sep 1875, Shoreditch district, vol 1c, p. 91
She cannot be identified on the 1881 census. Perhaps their household on 1911, if in England and not in the Channel Island, will give her place of birth.
In the 1911 census sthey were in the Channel Isles and her birth place was given as Birr, King's County, presumably Ireland.
But I cannot find her in the 1901 census in Ireland, though there was an Emily Roe in Birr in King's County, but only fourteen years old.
