Notes for Sophia Jane Powys
Another of the Morres-Hill-Powys triangle!
Martin P-L writes:
1834-
1867 married Rev. Hugh Morres, Vicar of St Sebastian, Wokingham. They had 3 children.
Among the grandchildren are Michael Morres and his sister Alison, now Mrs Inge. Her son John Inge lives at Green Farm Ho., East Grafton, Marlborough, Wilts. He will have the Twysden Memorandum book. TP-L knows him.

An ambiguous note in E R Powys' memo book:
"Sophia Jane born at Southgate Oct 20th 1834. Baptized at Edmonton married July 30th 1867 Redmond son of Revd J Morres. Vicar of Wokingham, Berks. who died at Streatley Vicarage after a short illness Sep 18th 1882. was buried in St Sebastian's Churchyard nr Wokingham on Sep 22nd."
She was present at the funeral of WRL P-L in 1888.
Who was the vicar of Wokingham? (father or son) Who died in 1882? (Martin answers the first, but the second?) And was his name Hugh (as MPL has it) or Redmond?
