Notes for Thomas Tuchet
CP and Ormerod agree on Thomas and his wife; but they do not agree on Thomas’s parents:
CP says they are Simon and Pernel - who was possibly dau. of Roger de Cumbrai.
Ormerod says they were Roger and Alice - 1st daua of Roger fitz Alured de Cumbre - and that Roger was the son of Simon and an Alice de Colevyle. In other words Ormerod puts and extra generation of Tuchets in.
The previous generations are very different, though some of the names are the same but uncles in Ormerod and ancestors in CP.
I have gone for CP’s account as the footnotes say it has documentary evidence behind it and Ormerod merely claims to have followed pedigrees drawn up by Booth and Sir Peter Leycester.
