Will notes for Joseph Pratt
TFPL, In 2017, Ron Dunning came up with page 1 of his will which starts off with:

“In the name of God Amen I Joseph Pratt of Woolwich in the County of Kent Sailmaker being of sound mind & memory and understanding yof mindful of my mortality do make publish and declare this is my last well and testament in manner following (that is to say) In the first place I humble resign my soul to Almight God and commit my body to the Eearth to be devoutly buried at the discretion of my Exors And I do hereby nominate and appoint Richard Rogers of Woolwich aforesaid Gentleman and William Bussey of Bishopgate Street London Gentleman Executors of this my last will and testament and aftter all my just debts legacies and funeral expenses shall be fully paid and satisfied I give and bequeath unto them the said Richard Rogers and William Bussey for their trouble in the execution of this my will the sum of five guineas each I give and bequeath unto my grandchildren Samuel marshall and Edith marshall the children of my daughter Edith Marshall the sum of fifty pounds a piece when they shall respectively obtain ther ages of twenty one years I give and bequeath unto my son in law Captain Samuel marshall the sum of two hundred pounds I give and bequeath unto my son in law Mr John Holmes the like sum of two hundred pounds I give and bequeath ...”
