TFPL, Dec 2006: FreeBMD has a Harriet Thompson who died in qtr ending Mar 1850, Horstm dist, vol 7, p. 318. Looks possible.

Dec 2008: Jane Nantais has found her death notice in The Times of 12th April 1849:
“On the 31st ult, Harriet, the beloved wife of Colonel Robert Thomson, Royal Engineers, daughter of the late Samuel Latham, Esq, of Dover.”
Note that Thomson has his original spelling.
The same text was in the Evening Mail on 13th April 1849.

Notes for Robert & Harriet (Family)
At their marriage, her brother-in-law Rev John Taddy officiated and the witnesses were Sam Latham and a Wm (illegible). Her and Robert's signatures are on the photo of the register.
