On FreeBMD there is the registered death of an Alice Mary E Pierpoint at Brighton, aged 0, in Q1 of 1875 which looks very strongly as if this was a daughter. Further there is a birth registered in Q2 of 1874, also at Brighton and which seems to confirm this daughter. But I think a birth certificate would help to confirm the parents.
