The answer is definitely hers. She was Dorothy Grace Smit as executor for her mother’s will.

Her brother Geoffrey had an entry in his papers that she was married (or partnered) to a Herbert Sidney Sayer of Zanzibar, which accounts for one of the surnames she had used before marriage. Pethick was obviously her birth surname. But so far I know nothing of Galletley; I wonder if we will ever find out. IN fact the image of the marriage index reads in the ‘Name of person married’ column for Clarence G Smit just this: “Galletley or Sayer or Pethick”.
No other marriages can be found for her on FreeBMD or FindMyPast, though there are four for Doroth Pethicks from 1924 to 1950 though none are with Galletley or Sayer.

Her death cannot be found, though she was alive in 1963 when she was named as Dorothy Grace Smit to be executor for her mother.
Though this probate was obtained: Pethick Dorothy of Cherells Markyate Herts died 16 September 1970 Probate London 26 May. £18973. It could be worth getting that will.
